Finally got around to making a new layout for the site! I’ll be working out some kinks with it in the next couple days but for the most part I like it…how about you?

The Two Faces of Bandido Jr.

Not entirely sure how old this is, but still a good read:

Bandido Jr walked slowly up the isle back to the dressing room, his head slightly lowered. Before he reached the curtain, he lifted his head and turned to face the ring, and what he saw brought out a sea of emotions that would haunt him for the rest of the evening and beyond. Bruno Marciano celebrating in the ring with the American Championship Entertainment (ACE) Diamond Division Championship belt, the same belt that Bandido Jr had worn so proudly only moments earlier. It was a grueling match in which he had lost the championship prize to Marciano, and although Bandido had nothing to be ashamed of in his losing efforts, the sting of pride became so large that it completely encompassed his entire frame until it took every fiber of his being to resist the urge to storm the ring and end the celebration. Instead, he turned away and crossed through the curtain to face his peers, who out of respect for the fallen warrior, turn away from the site of defeat.

It’s a feeling that the young man has felt before. This wasn’t the first championship that he’s lost. Bandido Jr has grown up in and around the business, and seen enough champions defeated to understand that a man can lose on any given night. The lesson is not learned in losing a championship, it’s in how the man carries himself after losing. This is the moment that character is defined. “I have to give it up to Marciano, he fought a hell of a fight. He’ll make a pretty good champion for the fans of ACE” Bandido said, “that’s if he knows who he’s up against.”

The former champion is referring to the fact that he wasn’t afforded the luxury of knowing who his opponent would be for “World’s Collide”, ACE’s latest super show. He would be defending the championship against the winner of the “6 Way Aerial Assault” match that took place earlier on the card. Giovanni Marranca, Pinkie Sanchez, Benny Martinez, “Hot Shot” Mike Reed, Black Zemis, and the ultimate winner, Bruno Marciano all competed for the opportunity to challenge for the Diamond Division Championship later in the evening. “They told me it was going to be a match with a bunch of high flyers. Not for nothing, but Bruno Marciano isn’t exactly known as a high flyer”, Bandido lamented. “It might have been a different outcome if I’d been prepared. I’m not making excuses but I just got finished up with Shawn Walker a few weeks ago. Talk about jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.”
